Alive! Bwouhuhahahaha!

Wow, I never thought we would get this domain from all of the people who were sitting on it, but it happened!

I’ve wanted dearhusband.com all along but these weirdos kept trying to sell it to me for hundreds and hundreds of dollars. I never thought it would come free from thier grasp, but it did. When it did, I decided to make something of it. And so, a concept for a new website is born.

And there is still more I would like to do with it, however it is ALIVE! ALIVE!!!

Dearhusband.biz will redirect here in the near futureunless it already has been redirected. I had such plans for .biz but alas, it was just a virtual billboard on top of hyenacart doing all of the heavy lifting. Make no mistake, there is far more to hyenacart then my whines, complaints and gripes and I have every intention of maintaining a presence there in the way of Serendipity. There is a community of people that comes with HyenaCart by detail. And that community is gold in the way of built in customers.

Around the time I got it, I decided that since things were going so well over at Serendipity Congo that I really saw little benefit in keeping my pre-order store with Hyena Cart open and continue spending $5.00 a month for a store that only handled our pre-order business and did little in the way of bringing in new business. I will miss the great drop-in advertising over there as well with featured stores. I do wish they would open that up for off-site.

On top of this, we are/were getting annoyed with the Hyena Cart model for calculating shipping costs and feel we can do it more honestly ourselves. Really, shipping abroad is far more nuanced then they make it out to be. Shipping internationally to Mexico is *NOT* the same as shipping to Sweden, Germany or Norway.

For example, if I have to ship 2oz of trim to Norway it will not cost me $10.00, if I have to ship

8oz of colorway and 4 oz of trim it will cost me more, etc. Everything else is a manual workaround and an imposition on my customers.

Fat Tuesday, A Mardi Gras Colorway

It has been a very long time since I have released a colorway without it being connected somehow with an exclusive congo colorway or a new retail store release.

Meet, Fat Tuesday.

Fat Tuesday was a part of an evolution of a previous colorway. The colors are awesome and splendid but were just not what we were looking for when we were working on the original project and so we set it aside for the perfect time. Sometimes your favorite colorways have this way of sneaking up on you when you aren’t looking.

This has to be one of my most favorite yarns, right next to Mr. Roboto on BBR.
